Our Story
The building that is now Arcade Brocato first opened in 1913 as the Arcade Theatre.
It hosted silent films, traveling vaudeville acts, and became a gathering place for a growing community along the bayou. Decades later, it evolved into a neighborhood movie theatre — a place where stories lit up the screen and families shared moments together.
Over time, the lights dimmed.
In 2018, Lyle and Angelena Brocato walked through the doors for the first time — and fell in love. Not just with the structure, but with its history. Its bones. Its story.
We didn’t just see what it was.
We saw what it could be again.
What followed was a seven-year renovation and restoration — a labor of love rooted in legacy and long-term commitment. Brick by brick, beam by beam, we restored the space with intention, honoring its past while reimagining its future.
This wasn’t a quick flip.
This was a promise.
A promise to the building.
A promise to our family.
A promise to our community.
Today, Arcade Brocato is a coffee shop and café serving curated grab-and-go selections, specialty beverages, select wines, and craft cocktails. It is home to our Library Room — a quiet, beautiful reading space designed for conversation, creativity, and calm.
It is also an intimate events venue and creative art house — hosting candlelit weddings, milestone celebrations, business gatherings, acting classes, and photography workshops that help people of all ages find their voice and refine their craft.
We are all in at Arcade Brocato.
This is not just a business for us — it is a legacy. A long game. A generational commitment to storytelling, community, and Main Street.
What once stood stands again.
A gathering place.
A creative home.
A light on Main Street.
Welcome to Arcade Brocato.
Coffee. Culture. Community.
